I have a friend that wants to try Voom but doesn't want the rain fade hassle. I have an old DirecPC dish in the garage. I believe it's 30" but I'm not sure. It's about the size of the old Primestar dishes. Anyway he wants to buy the dish and replace the Voom dish with it if he in fact tries Voom. Does anyone know if an old DirecPC dish will work with the Voom system? Granted he won't be using the LNB for the internet side, but will the TV side work?

Not sure about DirectPC, but dishes from DirectTV seem to work fine with VOOM.

I have three of them ! They will work GREAT if they are Duo DirecPC Dish!

Thanks. I tried DirecPC years ago and only had it 2 months. It sucked. But I loved the 30" dish and kept it for my DirecTV service until I upgraded to their HD. When I had the 30" dish, it had to rain really really hard before I would see any picture breakup on the TV screen. Only during a very heavy thunderstorm did I ever lose the picture. I'm sure my friend will love it. But then again I might hang onto it in case Voom ever gets their act together and I go back to them.
