How many folks in the poll who answered no way Jose have seen 3D on TV with glasses?:D
How many have put on a pair of the modern 3D glasses?:D
The point is, most of the people say no just because you need to put on glasses, period!

I will state again that those who normally do not wear glasses find wearing them uncomfortable (And they are until you get used to them which takes time)
And those who already wear glasses find having to wear a second set of classes over the top unbelievably cumbersome and amazingly uncomfortable. So, unless it is a super-special event many people, with the exception of the dweeb set, will just pass.

Yep, I so agree. Yet I keep thinking about how the internet was advanced in different ways, and video tape acceptance furthered, by porn. I'm just not sure I'm willing to bet against that. 3D porn, for those who want to be in the middle of it all.

I personally still wouldn't buy a 3D TV, unless I other wise wanted the set. Maybe I'd pay a couple hundred premium, tops, just as a sort of insurance policy. Hopefully my TVs will hold out for years to come and I won't have to make a decision. I'm sure not upgrading my OPPO, PS3 or Sammy 1500 just for such a feature.

The thought of telling your friends and family to go buy some 100 dollar glasses before they come over for the SB, Thankgiving or etc just isnt going to fly. 3D may eventually take off but not like this.

I still place this novelty in the list of home theater upgrades as I do DBoX. someday I'll have them but no rush on it. DBOX is now pretty common on BD action movies but not every movie has it. 3D will be the same way.

The prices are still coming down and the latest packages at $3300 for 55" screen, player and 2 pair of glasses is a good price point for new tech, IMO.

I too thought they would be cumbersome over my glasses, but they aren't.

Not yet.

Had to go to Best Buy, to get a HDMI cable. Saw 3D tv, for the first time. Thought the 3D effect was great and without the glasses it looks like a normal HD picture. Prices where not bad. Like $3400 for a package with 55" tv, glasses, and a 3D Blue Ray player. But I think I will wait until they perfect glasses free 3D. Unless they start much more 3D content. Like say the NFL in 3D!

TNGTony- You keep saying about people who never wear glasses etc....

What about sunglasses? Many who never wear corrective lenses often wear sunglasses. Do you think wearing sunglasses is so awful that people avoid them? People spend an obscene amount of money for designer sunglasses all the time. Not me, but many people I know do.
