Well it has now been a week since SatelliteGuys.US has introduced its VOOM YAHOOGROUP - SatelliteGuys Gateway, and from the looks of it it is working very well!
For those of you who don't know what this gateway is, it is really quite simple, it allows everyone who is a member of SatelliteGuys.US to read and participate in the VOOM Yahoogroup and you need not be a subscriber to the VOOM Yahoogroup to participate.
I created this gateway as a few from VOOM including Wilt would rather get VOOM messages in their email instead of trying to find new messages at a forum. Plus many people have been hesitent to join Yahoogroups due to the spam issues the YAHOOGROUPS service has.
With this gateway you can now post to the Yahoogroups and your email address is never shared with the world, instead only your SatelliteGuys.US username is sent.
This gateway not only brings the VOOM expertease of people like Wilt, but also brings new people to the Yahoogroup who would have never subscribed. This new service not only brings a great new feature to SatelliteGuys, but also brings a bunch of new faces in the Yahoogroup!
Over the past week alone the volume in the VOOM newsgroup has increased because of the participation of SatelliteGuys members. A group that was close to death is now alive again because of this gateway!
