We've escaped the severe weather of yesterday! 66 now, much warmer earlier!
Our sister station about 20 miles to the NW of Ionia had it's AM knocked off the air yesterday and phones go "nuts" and offline (standard POTS lines)
at the time that THIS was happening across the road and down just a stone's throw...now we KNOW why our hit seemed so close!

Glad nobody was badly hurt....
One of our engineers has literally been hit 3 times by real lightning. He's still doing engineering and doing it well. Maybe these kids will learn RF engineering someday....

Here in Connecticut currently it is 57 degrees headed up to a high of around 80. They are picking today as one of the 10 best weather days of the year. (I thought the 10 best days were reserved for the Ionia Free Fair?!)
Of course the rest of the week goes to hell in a hand basket, with rain rain rain through the rest of the work week.
