I have Turbo Gold and was just advised by tech support that FOX News HD was not available to me.

I sent in two questions to the chat.

1) Thanks for Fox News HD and Fox Business HD, however I am getting complaints from Turbo HD subscribers that both new channels are not available in the Turbo (HD Only) packages. (This is what they are being told by CSRS as the channels are listed in red in their guide) can you explain what's going on here?

2) The new pricing is in effect however customers are still seeing the old pricing on their February bills, does this new pricing apply to existing customers or only to new customers (after their promotional period)?

And here are their answers.

Scott,

Thanks for the email. Fox News HD is available in all HD packages, including Turbo HD Bronze and higher. Fox Business News HD is available in the Gold Turbo HD package. In regards to your second question, the price increase is across the board, both existing and new. However, some existing customer, based on the billing date, may not see the increase until their next billing statement.

Thanks,

Heres the question scott posted in the retail chat with dish today and dishs response to his question

well i wonder y now they have decided to remove fox news from the website listing under Turbo HD. It was there earlier today.

Yeh I saw that too. I'm taking this as just another piece of evidence as to how absolutely screwed up this company is. Either they took 'em down because they haven't authorized those packages or they aren't planning to do so at all. The latter would be a big mistake afaic.

Read that but it still is not here for Turbo Hd only subs.

There must be some sort of back-end problem that is keeping certain folks from getting it. I have TurboHD Silver (just switched from AT200 on Monday), and I've had Fox News HD since Tuesday morning, and still have it.

Yeah, this is frustrating as I also have AT 200 plus Silver & Platinum HD and have had Foxnews HD since yesterday. I was looking to switch to Turbo tonight, but for better or worse, can't go without Foxnews. I hope they straighten this out soon. The website thing is definitely weird too. When I looked earlier this afternoon both Foxnews and Foxbusiness were there, and now POOF! Gone! Is this really surprising though?

Well you could switch as the SD version is up for me and I have TurboHD Silver. The weird part is the 9477 channel is completely gone now where it was at least in red last night. This is getting really confusing!

alcheez, when you log in, does you account say at200, turbo gold or just turbo gold? my account has HDAbsolute, Turbo HD gold and i'm just wondering if the issue of HDAbsolute on my account is not screwing me over. i swithed from HDAbs. about 2 weeks ago to Turbo.

Just says TurboHD Silver, I had a major headache talking to them, but they did it right.

I think the fact that they've loaded the SD to a free preview is kind of telling - Fox News is supposed to be Classic Bronze now, so the only reason to do that is to make it available, at least in SD, to HD only customers.

yea, i'm trying to believe that Dish is throwing us a bone. They realize that the HD versions are not working so they at least will give us the SD version.
