I've recently been seeing a problem where every few minutes I see a flash on the screen. It looks like the image is shifted to the right but just for one frame. At first I was seeing it on ABC but now I see it on Fox as well. I rewound and played it back in slow-mo so it was recorded that way.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Yeah I've seen the same thing just on hd channels . It happens on my second tv too so its not my tv. The horizontal hold messes up for a split second. Is this what you are talking about?

It only happens on FOXNEWS HD, FBN HD, and local FOX HD. Thought that Charlie moved them to a bad transponder location so that this happen intentionally. It started happening around the time of the last software update.

I see it on Fox News HD as well. It was really bad on Wednesday and I noticed a little more today. I have a vip612 on the eastern arc and see it early to mid-afternoon.

Glad I am not alone.
It happens on both my 622 and 722. I also think it started when they added the latest round of HD channels as well. I would have to say I have found it on most HD channels as others have stated.

Phil
PS The 622 was updated to L6.18 and it still does it, so no hope for that fixing it.

Send an email to dishquality@echostar.com to report what you are seeing. Let us know the response.

I'm seeing it on Seattle Locals on KING NBC HD, it flashes/pixelates when there's a rapid change in picture like cutting to a different angle. It only seems to happen on that channel from what I can see. Also that channel is coming off 110, i don't know if that affects it.

I have noticed this "glitch" (as I call it) from time to time over the past couple weeks. I've really only picked it up when watching locals, so I caulked it up to local issues. I'll try and review some other HD channels and see if I pick it up.

Note that in my case, the issue does get recorded, and if watching live, I can go back and see the glitch again. I've tried to catch the glitch by moving forward slowly, but it has been challenging to find the frame.

I am also experiencing a similar problem. The person I spoke with at Dish today said it is a known software issue and they are working on it.

I got an email reply from dish quality asking for the "orbital slot" I was using. Is this the transponder? They said they were monitoring the situation.

I changed the transponder number to one with a stronger signal. I'm curious if this will help.
