Hopper S212 Feedback and Issues

Got S212 this morning and since then I have not been able to use my Sling Adapter. It says it connects and starts the Hopper (both the iphone app and dishonline.com on my laptop) and all it gets is a black screen on the iphone and the same black screen on the laptop (but on the laptop it shows No Video at the bottom). The SA worked great until today.

Why a link when you can post something this short? ( But, thanks for answering.:D)

Hopper version S2.12
[Auto Hop fixes, clock/timer fixes, Sling DRA fixes, RSN DVR record fix, On Demand 1/4 screen fix, Misc.]
Joey version S2.64
[Auto Hop fixes, clock/timer fixes, RSN DVR record fix, On Demand 1/4 screen fix, Misc.]

Maybe because, while he is answering the question, the answer didn't come from him, it came from James V.....

This is not specific to S212, as i had a similar occurance previous to this SW update.

We've had Desperate Housewives set to record and episodes saved from the PTAT function. We've watched this show since the inception eight years ago. We had the series ending episodes from about two weeks ago and went to finish the last 45 minutes last night. The show would not resume, start over or play in any manner. The INFO button said there was an error reading the file and said to note error code 5. After a reset, the episode disappeared.

SWBMO was not too happy.

Tonight PTAT not recording. Daily Schedule is stating "no info" on all scheduled recordings. Also showing 22 conflicts fro tomorrow which is totally incorrect. Can not manually set PTAT shows to record, at least not more than one. Guide is showing correctly as well as listing PT in the primetime shows. DIRT notified and sending report.

Had the same issue as steff3 yesterday. No Info Available on all timers. The guide data looked perfect. The Daily Schedule of timers was messed up. Both Hopper and Joey had received updates to 212/264 that morning. Contacted Dirt. Ran check switch, reset Hopper, unplugged Hopper, deleted some timers, modified some timers. Everything continued to say No Info Available on all timers. PTAT and a couple of other timers still fired but recorded longer than the show was on (i.e. a one hour show recorded for four hours). Gave up around midnight. Thought about unplugging the Sling Adapter. Did that and went to bed. Got up this morning and everything for today and going forward in the schedule is fine. Timers all look good. Only timers in the history from yesterday still say No Info Available. It appears to be fixed. I guess I'll never know if I did something to fix it or if it fixed itself overnight.

The exact thing happened to me. I stopped it at the point where Tom and Lynette were talking in the street. When I tried to resume it later I got the same message. Maybe some nice sub will fill in the last 45 mins and save me a 2 buck download charge.

Yep, sounds identical. I tried check switch test, reset, and unplugging for 15 minutes but nothing helped. After last night’s nightly updates, all seems to be okay this morning, almost. Schedule info now states as it should and PTAT shows it is to record (we'll see). The only thing I am seeing at this point is some of the scheduled recordings are old. All my timers are set to "New Only" but on HGTV, HISTORY, USA, and TNT, they are showing that some are recording previously aired showings. Not all, only some.

What you have to do to fix that is edit each individual timer. Change it to "Auto Tune" then back to "DVR" and it fixes it. Major glitch though, needs fixed ASAP. I have also had one of my Hoppers record a 1 hour show for 12 hours straight. Another major glitch.

Hopper is on 212 but Joey is still on 263.

Twice today I've had to reset the Joey because it could not see any DVR recordings, or EHDs (have two) on the Hopper. Hopper is fine.

After reset Joey can see all.

Received 264 on Joey today (Finally!), and haven't had to reset the Joey yet. Was resetting the Joey 2-3 times a day before.

Received 212 on both Hoppers yesterday and all seems well, PTAT ok too.

I recall Scott saying something to the effect that this smoothest receiver roll-out ever for Dish - based on my experience Scott just may be right about that.

I'm still seeing pause / freezes / dropouts at 29/59 past on the Joey units.
It also happens on the hopper, but it is barely noticable.

S212 here as well, and just noticed the pixiling at 29 after the hour as well while watching on Hopper
