I took it as he was trying to get what he was told he would get, hoping the DIRT team could help.

Gpollack87 sounds like no Soup for you!

that is no joke. i was told to never mention FEARnet on the dish facebook page again and i never did after i was told that.

I think Comcast should merge Chiller and FearNet together anyways... keep the FEARNet name just use programming from both channels. Solves the issue of Chiller not being in HD anywhere. (Chiller on DISH is unwatchable in SD. It looks almost as bad as the superstation version of WPIX)

I have talked to DIRT. they cannot help me. DIRT told me to contact the executive resolutions team and as i said before they were no help at all.

Sorry to hear of your troubles friend, and it seems I missed some fireworks last night. Real shame you were told not to mention a channel name on a satellite tv providers web site, how dare you lol. Also a real shame that they banned you from their facebook page for what you said. Sure does sound like your account is somehow flagged our even locked. I would bet that short of a higher intervention that it will stay that way for the duration. :-(

I was also permanently banned from the dish page for saying dish doesn't listen to it's customers. I was told not to ask for FEARnet again on the dish facebook page and i didn't. but, me saying dish doesn't listen to its customers got me banned.

This statement really bothers me. Banned because a customer says you don't listen to customer's complaints/requests, now that's a real good selling point for Dish. If the customer's statement is false then just add a reply with the facts that Dish does listen. Then the reader has both sides of the issue.

And really, don't ask for Fearnet on Facebook, you have to be kidding. How many here have been told not to ask for every channel in HD, or for RSNs, or for whatever channel a subscriber has a passion for? Is this policy written down somewhere?

Now I am with any moderator erasing posts, locking threads or ban an individual for not being civil on those forums/social sites. There is not a need to be nasty. But if you are civil, there is no harm. Actually companies should encourage this kind of feedback. How better to determine your customers needs/wants is to have feedback.

I'm saying this jokingly, Greg, but before I moved to DirecTV, I would check on their policy regarding how many times a subscriber is allowed to post on their Facebook fan page in one day. :)

I know. It's not like he's asking for a mob hit or something. There is another one on there (Tony Gothard) that they will probably say something to but I don't know him and am just looking at frequency of posts and requests / questions. If you don't want customer feedback you certainly don't need a FB page for a company.

Lets all go onto Dishs fb page and post WE WANT FEARNET!!! :) ;)

They will then ask FB to add a mass ban button. I'm pretty sure I was banned from seeing what others were posting recently. I had asked for Pac-12 and had more or less been told I was one of the few. After about 8 straight hours of people requesting it, I sent a brief message saying I thought only a few cared (and it wasn't mean spirited in tone) and I can no longer see what customers are posting. :)

Agreed. LOL- they need to allow just about everything, explicit and vulgar content excluded.

There are a million + 1 reasons people (or companies) do not need an FB page, but if they choose otherwise, they must learn to deal with all the BS and reputation detriments that come along with it.

And this response leads me to my next question: Why isn't there a "like" option for posts on the Sat Guys iPhone app? ;)
