Hartford or Newington?

Nashville is overlooked by Locast but a small DMA in East Tennessee is not. Go figure.
A read through of the Locast release about the Tri-Cities coverage should give you an idea of who stepped up. Maybe some company will step up in Nashville to speed coverage along... ;)

I suspect Scripps, Meredith, Nexstar and Sinclair would have a serious discussion with any proposed sugar daddy.
Both the South Dakota cities served by Locast were primarily funded by a mixture of targeted corporate and personal donations along with assistance from a university. What would the entities you named have to discuss since the IRS says those donations are not only legal but tax deductible?

Don't need any inside knowledge. Locast streaming copyrighted material without permission. State they are a non-profit so it's a loophole in an old law. Dish, DirecTV pumping money in their operation. People using VPN's to access local channels not for their DMA..You don't need to be Perry Mason to see what Locast is doing can be legal. The big networks have lot's of powerful and expensive lawyers. This case is not being heard on Judge Judy either!.

I get the feeling you don`t really know about Locast 3 & 1/2 years and growing. If the big four could have shut them down they would have .
As for DISH it costs me less over even other's new customer deals but still get most all the channels I want. Their adding so many Sub channeIs was a good step too. (metv cozy etc)

Aero didn't have what Locast has plus they didn't have their s**t together.
And lots of people thought I was nuts saying Aereo was in potential trouble too.

The law be what the people who wrote or guard it say it is. And that might mean Locast works out. Or it might not. Locast exists in a loophole of sorts. I think it should be legal. But it more matters what the courts think.

Well I notice the guide data for the Sinclair stations have dropped off on my satellite receiver. Now only ABC/NBC has guide data. I guess they are getting an early start on the August 16 deadline to drop locals. Glad I have other means to see guide data and record for my locals.
