Hopper 3 Software Version H320 6/17/22

I still haven't received H320 yet, almost 3 weeks later. Maybe distribution has stopped.....
Ditto, my H3 is still using H319. We were away for the weekend and nobody home, so H3 was not in use during that time, it could've updated then but didn't.
Yup, same here. My guess is that H320 is/was another H318 disaster
If that's true I am lucky I didn't force an update.
I think the key here is that everyone who got the 20 version still has it. If there were anything really major wrong with it, then Dish would have rolled everyone back to an earlier version, like they did after 05 came out. So, at least this is/was not another 05 disaster.

Oddly, we never got the notice to update our Thumb Drives that we use to install software on the Hoppers to this newest version, although I've been using them for a few weeks with no issues other than Joey Software not loading properly on Hopper w/Slings in some cases
Perhaps the 20 version was some kind of extended Soak release. So, it went out to a slightly larger pool of users than usual, but still not to the general public at large. I am a former beta tester, so it makes sense that I got the 20 version.

In any event, at least now it finally makes sense why there were not that many replies in this thread during the first couple of weeks that the 20 version was available:
A week and a half since this thread started... if there were any major annoying bugs, I think somebody would have posted them here by now.
Judging by the posts from the last couple of days, it appears that none of the usual folks who post in these threads even got the 20 version in the first place.

For the last 2 updates Amazon prime Video will play one movie or show 90%time then soon as i exit back movie menu it has server error connection. and app has be exited and restarted to just have 90% chance of it happening again. Netflix still only out put stereo via optical out.

And i dont know what the did to DVR function but i fast forward just for to go black screen and stay there till i exit back to live tv and go back to dvr just to find out it actual did go foward it just didnt want to show it.

These issue are happen on 4k joey

Im sure the streaming app issue will be fix when hopper plus and joey 4 are release, but as it stand by time it release in my area dish will be canceled to just go pure streaming for "tv"

I gave up using H3 for Amazon, or Netflix even, as I had nothing but trouble. I pretty much use fire sticks for all streaming. I guess the new Hopper is designed as a better streaming box but when will it be widely distributed if at all?

$64,000 ?
I thought Scott said late July, unless plans have changed again since Team Summit. If that is the case though, I would have expected to hear pricing info on these by now. Heck, Dish should be taking pre-orders on these by this point.

Has Dish ever let anyone preorder anything? LOL
In 2008, when preparations for the digital television transition started, Dish let me preorder their digital-to-analog converter box. My two free converter box coupons were about to expire. (That was my fault for jumping the gun and requesting the coupons as soon as the FCC announced they were available, before Dish announced their plans to introduce the TR-40.) Dish's cheaper model TR-40 (which the converter box coupons would actually completely cover, unlike the higher-priced model) was not yet available. So, it was Dish's choice to either let me go ahead and order them with the coupons that I already had, or have me go to a competitor to order a different model so my coupons would not go to waste.

I ended up with two of Dish's DTV Pal boxes. They showed up on my bill at $59.99 each, but Dish gave me $20 credits for each one, to drop them below the $40 limit that the converter box coupon would cover. Later that year, when the TR-40 was finally available, I ordered one of those also. It turned out that the TR-40 was actually just a refurbished DTV Pal, with no other differences besides the converter box coupon-friendly price.

I do still have a DTV Pal hiding somewhere, which I did get with my coupon. And the TR-40 sounds familiar, but I don't remember the origin of the name. Why bring it out under a 2nd name?

Aha. CNET to the rescue:
Back at CES 2008, Dish Network promised to deliver a DTV converter box--the TR-40-- that cost exactly $40, making it free to consumers who signed up for the government's DTV converter-box coupon. Since then a lot has happened. First, Dish changed the name to DTVPal and said the price would be $60, then the company claimed the DTVPal and the TR-40 were separate products, and then the TR-40 CRA was announced as exactly the same as the DTVPal--but with a $40 price tag. And now both the TR-40 CRA and the DTVPal--which are exactly the same product--are available on Dish Network's site, priced at $40 and $60, respectively. It's been a nightmare for consumers and journalists alike, and more than a few buyers of the DTVPal feel like they paid $20 too much.

It did set the precedent to do the exact same thing for their latest dual-tuner OTA USB adapter, which was released at half the price under the Air TV brand name, despite being the exact same product as the Dish model. At least in that case, you got the choice of a different color (white vs. black) rather than simply having a different logo (DTV Pal or TR-40 CRA) on top of an identical box.

Never claimed it was a disaster. Probably bad enough to keep pushing, but not bad enough to back out.....

I assume if H320 were really important they would make sure it is sent to everyone. H319 still working fine for me.
I assume nothing. For everyone who posted about not getting the 20 version: Did you try manually updating, or are you simply saying that you did not get an automatic update? Just because the update did not automatically happen does not necessarily mean that it is not available to you.

Unless I hear that a release has a fix or feature I’m interested in I wait until Dish thinks I should have it. Why introduce more potential problems if the current version is working fine?

Why should I have to manually update? If Dish thinks H320 is that critical they know who doesn't have it. I know it's "available".
The reason why I asked is because a lot of the earlier discussion revolved around the claim that distribution of the new version had stopped. If multiple attempts at a manual update have failed, that is a good indication that distribution has actually been stopped. If manual updates still successfully install the new version, then distribution has not been stopped. There is a huge distinction there.
