If you disconnect the coax from the receiver and don't reconnect it, then cancel, the receiver won't know it's deactivated and you can still watch the recordings until you have to send it back

I've seen so many roofers put the dish back in the exact same holes which have already lost their integrity and we've had to replace the entire amount

I remember getting things done also. Used to walk with some extra things like step bits, etc. If I could conceive a way to get it done, it got done.

2 dish solution if you are ok with that. Drop the Italian, do the upgrade, have the tech install the 2nd dish, activate, add back the Italian channels. NOTE: requires the dish pro version on international lnb.

Is the receiver operating with a G4 smart card and does the software version start with an X. X was an indication that the receiver had a commercial software version which was typically required to prevent sleep or rebooting.

That's not to say that some customers don't already have 2 Hopper 3s on one account, because they do. I've been on some service calls where that was exactly the case, however it required 2 dishes.

Sorry, but it is possible. I've gone to customers that have 2 Hopper 3 receivers and multiple Joeys. It currently will require 2 dishes, but it is doable.
The old ones were swipe only, the newer version had the addition of a rocker volume switch. I rarely sold the old ones because I had problems with the swipe. Those sport team ones are probably the swipe only.
