$5 charge for cancelling promo HBO and Showtime package?

My online account (activity since last statement) shows that I was charged $5 for cancelling the promo HBO and Showtime package this past week. Is this typical? I contacted Dish via chat on Tuesday and was told the promo would be cancelled. It wasn't done by Wednesday (the final day of my 90...

Dish Network: Poor video quality using coax cable. Dish techs at a loss!

I tried another brand of set, and connecting a VCR to check both sets--the problem was the same.

Dish Network: Poor video quality using coax cable. Dish techs at a loss!

**Update** The Dish Network loyalty group has promised to install two 211k receivers this Friday in place of the 222k receiver, waive the upgrade fee of $75, $7/month for two receivers, for a period of 24 months. Although I will always wonder what the actual fix was for this problem, I'm...

Dish Network: Poor video quality using coax cable. Dish techs at a loss!

Yes, to the previous post. Dish techs are at a loss for a fix. Now it's wait and see if their affiliate GM will "pay the cost" for two single receivers as a "solution". "He's on vacation until Wednesday and will call then." I will report back...

Dish Network: Poor video quality using coax cable. Dish techs at a loss!

I'll take 2-211(k) receivers (already proposed as a "solution" by the Dish tech (but only a bandaid)) if someone is willing to pay the monthly difference. I was never after HD on either set; just a lower cost solution to Cable. Someone needs a lesson in reading comprehension!

Dish Network: Poor video quality using coax cable. Dish techs at a loss!

Yes. The primary set is a Vizio VW42LFHDTV10A 8/2008 and the secondary set (which replaced a SDTV (with same image ghosting issue)) is a Vizio VO320E 12/2009. But as I said over at highdefforum.com; What does that matter?

Yes. Tried all that including replacing the receiver (see original message); same problem.

Thanks, for the replies. I've tried all those settings and reprogrammed the second TV; no change. The Dish Tech returns tomorrow with a supervisor and I'm going to ask that they replace or setup a second dish and conencting cables. I will report back...
