Dish really stepped up today on a service call ! Awesome service for a tech visit

Incorrect reasoning, correlations =/= causation. Same day installs/technician visits are available in about 60% of markets if you call between 7a-11a and it's not a Sunday. This is due to implementation, restructuring of who decides who gets a service tech to their homes. E* going back to a...

How to change local channel market

    A) Retailers as you noted. Fraud basically. B) Inaccurate numbers for DMA's as to subs in area reported. C) It's not legal and they're liable for this. D) When customers change their physical address to get a different DMA and then request someone to come out to their home to fix an issue, they...

OFFICIAL DISH / FOX ORDEAL DISCUSSION THREAD

I'm sure there was give on both sides. As to why the previous poster assumes Fox caved big time you'd have to ask him but I'm thinking he's following my logic. E* has a history of just plainly taking channels away for months at a time if necessary to reach an agreement. Ultimately, Charlie...

Dish 500 / 625 BASIC help needed PLEASE!

Ok Ignore the IR Converter part of this and the 2 way splitter should just be a direct wire out of "tv chan 21-69 out home distribution" to the "uhf/vhf" side of a holland/aska 'diplexer'

Dish is coming to give me my HD channels for FREE

I don't quite understand this. This company just GAVE you 600$+ in equipment for free (admittedly on your own part) 3+ hours of labor, gas costs etc; and did it for free. You had to make 1 call to resolve this on your end and the COMPANY sucks? I understand you being upset that you had to...

RV Use of DishNetwork & Eastern vs Western Arc

Set up wireless internet to DISH RECEIVER

There's no an official supported list yet. Dish will be using Netgear 802.11n USB wireless adapters. 722(&k)/622/222k are all supported currently. They aren't selling them yet but they're providing them in new installations if the supply and demand is there.

    Serious problem with 722k

lololololol Another solution would have been to get a replacement remote control that uses UHF. 21.0 at TV1, as you did say tv2 didn't have any issues.

    Splitting TV1 on a VIP722k?

Need 21.0 remote for secondary TV1 in order to go through walls. Order one, switch tab to UHF and Green 1, good to go.

    Dish Location for HD

They won't re-roll if NLOS tag is on the account. Just throwing that out there to save some hassle and arguments.

Moving my Dish 500, coax questions

You're correct that it's not. Minimum for satellite installations for Dish is 2150Mhz but that is the bare minimum. I wouldn't suggest going lower than 2200Mhz but most RG6 out right now will be 3Ghz which is far beyond what you need and will work beautifully.

    Relocating a box

Are you trying to swap locations between tv1 and tv2? If the answer to that question was YES. It's an easy swap. Behind your receiver you'll find a Diplexer UHF/VHF SAT AND IN/OUT usually blue/red made by Holland or ASKA (depending on your state/area). Take the receiver with you, swap...

    612 receiver..User 2 .. ???

User 2 is a software encoded message for all DuoReceivers by Dish. It means 1 of your tuners = signal loss. Check signal on both tuners. swap cables (if direct connection) if problem follows cable = cable if problem stays on tuner = tuner.

Reprogramming set 'macros' on 21.0 remotes?
