    Single satellite programming

maybe this is part of my problem, I have been using 1 and 4. I was told in another thread that when first setup the quad outputs are 110 119 110 119 or the other way around so I figured I should have one tuner on 110 and the other on 119.

    Single satellite programming

Same thing, I was getting as high as 90 with the quad. Identical feeds, does this mean that (a) the single LNB with two outputs (dual?) should be fine and (b) does it matter which outputs from the Quad I connect to? Side note: I have two direct wires running from receiver to LNB, just to...

Also can I somehow change my location in the receiver to a closer location, or get the distant locals somehow?

    Single satellite programming

Is there another satellite I can point at instead to get a little more programming? I haven't been able to actually get a picture from any channels displayed in the EPG when I'm pointed at 110. I thought it was because I still had hooked up my dishpro quad, but when I hook up a legacy single...

    Single satellite programming

I'm wondering what satellite to point at if I only have one LNB? The reason I ask is I moved to Canada, but kept my DISH account setup as I'm still under contract, and where I am so far we haven't been able to see 119. We can see 110 clear as day, about 90 signal strength, but not 119 so far...

bad LNB, or wrong type of dish?

I'll definitely give this a try, thanks. Another question, this is a DishPro Quad with, obviously, 4 outputs. I am under the understanding that those 4 ports are the output of the built in switch, not the individual LNBs, so it shouldn't matter what port I'm connected to when I'm pointing...

bad LNB, or wrong type of dish?

Well I changed the dish for a Dish 500 and I was able to get a much higher signal level from 110W (still coming in on 119W LNB), and I covered it with tinfoil and searched for a while trying to get the 119W satellite, but nothing. Does this mean it's definitely an LNB problem, or am I just...

bad LNB, or wrong type of dish?

Thanks for the info, the dish is actually a Starchoice. We were able to mount the LNB without a problem using the DISH Y-bracket. I had tried covering the 119W eye and rotating it around and nothing. It's also hard to say if the skew is correct or not as this is a non-standard dish. Also...

bad LNB, or wrong type of dish?

Hi, sorry for double posting, but I'm on slow dial-up so I don't have time to search. I have a DISHPro Quad LNB attached to a 18x24 dish (non DISH), as I don't have my original dish, hooked up to a 522 receiver. I am able to find the 110W satellite no problem, but can't find the 119W...
