I just heard one of the managers talking about a new beta device that the some GM's are currently testing. It's an OTA Add-on device. I'm assuming this is a standalone device that provides OTA services to the hopper system. Not sure if this was known information.

UPDATE: They believe the Joeys are bricked so they went to go get more.

It works like this, At least one of the hoppers had to be online before Grey's anatomy started or the wife would have hit the roof. Mission accomplish with 2 minutes to spare.

Maybe its just me but the picture quality on the local channels look a lot more pixelated on the hopper than my 622 did. Anyone else notice a difference? The other channels look a lot better IMO.

UPDATE: DAY 2 of the install! Well the hoppers are up and working (just don't use the weather channel app) but the Joeys are running all over the place and refuse to link with there moms.... So Dish is coming back today to get it sorted out. The Joeys will come up but on the download phase it...

I can understand that. Lucky for me this is the wiring area on the back (hidden) part of the house. There's a crap load of panels and pipes next to this.

They ran 3 cables from the Dish to the DUO-Node.

UPDATE & FYI: Manager is back. Says that they have been experiencing an issue. Seems that once up and running the hopper will not show more than an hour of guide until the 3AM update. Says it will be 7 days worth after that. Indicates that this will not affect PTAT recording.

I didn't want to pay the monthly "Whole Home Enthernet" charge. :D

They could but I don't have a drop in that room.
