    Dish ads overlapping programs

Thanks, that's been my solution for a few years. I was hoping there might be a better one. Expecting even. Justifiably I would go so far as to say, lol.

    Dish ads overlapping programs

I figured it was something like that. Is there any solution? Considering the cost and limited use I get out of Dish in these days of streaming it feels like I shouldn't have to just settle for this.

    Dish ads overlapping programs

Mostly this is MSNBC including today. But I've rarely seen it on other channels as well. It's hard to tell what specific ads they are since they're over when I notice and gone when I start skipping back.

    Dish ads overlapping programs

It literally just happened again and it took 28 presses of "skip back" to get to the beginning of the program segment. I counted. It doesn't happen every commercial break and sometimes I won't notice it happening for days. Today is especially bad.

    Dish ads overlapping programs

None of the ads are local. They seem like ads being placed by Dish. And it's always at least a full 2 minutes of overlap. It's been this way for years and I just finally had enough.

    Dish ads overlapping programs

Several times a day I will notice a commercial block has ended and when the show I was watching resumes it's in progress and I've missed 2 or 3 minutes of the show. I have to hit the "skip back" button about a dozen times to get to the start of the segment. Whats up with this? I'm paying money...

DISH Drops AMC Networks (AMC Back on DISH channel 131)

I was hoping some miracle would occur before TWD premiers this Sunday but finally came to the realization I'd have to switch to Direct if I wanted to watch it. Lousy internet (1.5 Mbps DSL) and no cable runs here. Imagine my despair when I learned Direct doesn't carry Grand Junction CO locals...

    AMC

I'm a long time Dish customer but with the loss of AMC and Breaking Bad starting again soon I'm looking at a switch. Is Direct offering any deals to Dish subs who want to switch because of this fiasco? I've looked but haven't found anything on my own.

Hoak Media stations off Dish amid dispute

Wow, so I've lost CBS and Fox and will probably soon lose AMC as well. I really could not care less who is responsible or their reasons. This is just ridiculous.

DISH Drops AMC Networks (AMC Back on DISH channel 131)

This is nuts. And I just bought a new 722k like 8 months ago. At the same time I upgraded an old leased 622 so I'd have a 722k in both my TV rooms. Not sure if that put me under a new contract or not. But it doesn't matter. The new season of Breaking Bad starts July 15. If this isn't resolved...

DISH Drops AMC Networks (AMC Back on DISH channel 131)

Man, I hope they don't really drop AMC. I've also been with Dish for around 15 years but, if they do this, I will not think twice about switching to Direct. It would be a major inconvenience but I'm not going to subscribe to a service that doesn't offer a channel with some of my favorite...

    Need advice on upgrading receiver(s)

Done. I did also see the "722k Ultimate Upgrade" thread. Just don't know if that's my best option.

    Need advice on upgrading receiver(s)

I have a leased 622 which works great, no complaints with it. Also have an old owned 510 which needs to go. I'd like to upgrade it to a 722k but am probably going to want the new Xip receivers whenever they come out. I'm not currently under a service commitment and I don't want to lock myself...

Should I upgrade my Dish 1000 for travelling?

My tripod is from TV4RV, the heavy duty one. I'd never noticed the conversion kit before but that looks really nice. Thanks, I'm going to order one of those. $12.95 will be a lot cheaper than replacing the whole dish.

Should I upgrade my Dish 1000 for travelling?

Two bolts would be two less than four. I like that. Is the fine tune adjustment that long bolt I've seen in pics on the back of the assembly? I was guessing that was for elevation. If it is that would be a huge improvement. Getting the elevation just right is usually the problem I think.
