Sales through e-mail and phone call.

Hello. I am thinking of getting TWC for its Internet, basic/local broadcast TV (don't watch a lot of TV and movies these days), and maybe digital phone services. However, I am getting conflicted replies and information from both e-mails and phone calls. The guy, on the phone, said they have...

    How are Dish's DVRs?

Hopefully, it is stable if I decide to Dish and this latest DVR model. ;)

    How are Dish's DVRs?

    Sweet. Thanks. :)

    How are Dish's DVRs?

Good. I hate that GUI. Ugh. Is the new GUI much easier and faster in terms of usability?

    How are Dish's DVRs?

Is there a detailed article/list between these two? Hopper/Joey would be new but with issues I assume. :(

    How are Dish's DVRs?

THanks. I am probably get it in the summer so it will be a few months. Hopefully by then, the bugs will be worked out. Is Hopper the new DVR replacing 722k?

    How are Dish's DVRs?

Hi! I assume Dish's DVRs are made/created by them and not third parties. I have used Dish's DTV Pals (converter box for old CRT TVs and DVR). However, both are buggy. Its converter box, for VCRs, was the worse due to crashes, hangs, etc. This is a common issue online as shown in Dish...

    Official authorized Dish retailers?

Interesting. I assume the ones I mentioned were through national retailers and the ones on Dish's retailer listings based on zip codes are local ones (not that close to the city I am in though). I have not seen any Dish offers through CE retailers yet (only DirectTV for (Costco, Sears, and...

    Official authorized Dish retailers?

Thanks. I noticed DirecTV is a few bucks cheaper and have more channels if I were to get HD. Obviously, DISH is cheaper for SD channels. Switching to DirecTV from Dish would be a pain due to the contracts, waiting, and changes though.

    Official authorized Dish retailers?

Well, the good news is that the house already has a satellite dish on the roof, and it appears to be from Dish (hard to see -- will have to recheck with a better view). As for same channels on all four TVs, no can do. Each person watches his/her stuff. What's DMA?

    Official authorized Dish retailers?

I know that feeling. I am amazed how much I save with over the air (OTA), DTV Pal DVR (no subscription), VCRs (rarely used and mostly for connecting between my computer and CRT TV since my TV only has a coax connection), etc. I am so spoiled. I will lose all that with the upcoming new home. :/

    Official authorized Dish retailers?

Oy, this is getting confusing. Questions: 1. For HD addon: a. Do I assume it is only available for America's Top packages and not the lower packages? b. Will I need new receivers/DVRs to replace the ones I use for old CRT TVs? If not, then I should get HD+SD compatible devices and...

    Official authorized Dish retailers?

Dish American is getting expensive per month though and I don't need all those channels (only care about the local broadcast ones). And yes, my English isn't strong. :(

    Official authorized Dish retailers?

Really? I did not know that. I will have to reinvestigate again. :( Is this the same for Family pack too?

    Official authorized Dish retailers?

This is what I have written down as notes from my research. Please note my family currently has four old CRT TVs (we will get HDTVs later on when the old ones die/have problems). -- Time Warner Cable (one bill and company): $52.99 (regular Internet package) $24.50 (local broadcast TV) $19.99...
