Possible bad IR receiver on VIP722K

Another solution is to put 2 or 3 layers of ivory masking tape over the IR ports on the receiver. They will attenuate the IR noise enough so that the receiver can "see" the remote signals. Ugly looking fix, but it works for me.

Fascinating and suspicious issue with my 722 and HBO/Cinemax

Try putting two or three layers of beige masking tape over the IR sensor on the 722. It's ugly, but it works with a Sharp panel I have that does the same thing.

Put 2 or 3 layers of ivory masking tape over the IR sensor window on the Dish receiver. This will mute the IR noise...

Nice. Good to know that I'm not the only one waiting for their third set of cards. On the second set, we even received an automated phone call warning us to pay attention to the mail as the cards will be arriving sometime within the next 10 days. We verified that Dish had the correct mailing...

Hooking up a third TV to a 622???

You can definitely get video to a different TV, but I think you'll run into problems if that second TV has a different aspect ratio from the first. IE, HDTV and receiver are set to 16:9 on output #1, you're going to get "skinny" people when viewing that video output on a SD 4:3 TV. Your new TV...
