If you have to reboot your 4K Joey everyday. I would be calling Dish and letting them know the issue so you can get it on record. You may have to try some troubleshooting steps with them first, but I would assume if your rebooting everyday to fix an issue, they would send you replacement unit.

So if I have 1 hopper 3, and 3 Joey 2's and I want to upgrade one of the Joey 2's to a Joey 4k, do they have to come and install it, or can they just send it to me and I send them the joey 2 back?

I was in the same exact situation until I read that the joey's don't go into standby by default anymore. So I went to all 3 of my Joey's and set them to go into standby after 2 hours of no use. That next morning I checked and I had received U303 at midnight. Which was about 2 hours after...

Oh, I know you weren't singling me out. Just thought I would mention my scenario just in case people don't think about bandwidth limitations when it comes to huge 4k movie downloads. :-)

I have plenty of download speed, I'm more concerned with the bandwidth that a 4K movie uses. My ISP provider only allows 500gb of data download a month, I have seen some 4K movies pull 10GB for each movie or more!!

I haven't seen that issue yet on the Hopper 3. I did have an issue on the HWS that I would watch a DVR'd show and sometimes it would show that I only watched maybe 20% of it. I think it had something to do with how PTAT was deviding up the shows.

I forgot to mention that 4 times now, my wife will call me into the room saying they were in the Netflix app searching for a movie to watch and it is just locked up. I eventually can get it to exit the app or just reboot the joey to fix it.

What I can say is that the Netflix app is buggy as hell! Doesn't matter if your on the hopper 3 or the joeys. On my system, it sometimes takes 3 or 4 tries before it actually logs you into Netflix. constantly complaining about i might not have a network, or my internet isn't working...
