Honestly, I think this might become a trend. Techs getting smaller vehicles, don't want to haul them, having to store them, find someone to recycle them. Most dealers, subs, retailers have extras on hand, like we do, then you have to store them some where, pretty soon you have this big ugly pile...

Just a update, today I put a 322 back in the house. Tried changing power plug, removed the ground, changed HDMI cable, went to component cable, nothing seemed to make a difference. Every morning or after idle for more than 4 hours it would go to "searching for satellite signal". Customer happy...

I am not going to ague the point of who is good and who is poor, but I am a retailer and our averages are the other way, we see more DNS jobs that need fixing than retailers or independent contractors. You are right we all need to step it up!!

Talked to the customer on Monday, she is trying the 2 prong adapter into a different wall plug. One thing I did notice when at the customers house was that it is plugged in with a HDMI cable, and it was very touchy at the TV, when I moved the cord it lost picture at the TV, I mentioned it to her...

Thanks for the responses. The 222 is plugged into the wall, I will check the voltage, and I did ask about the light switch, none on the outlet. I will try the 2 prong adapter, see if that helps. thanks again

Had this happen to me yesterday. A 222 we installed at a customers house, every morning when the customer turns on her TV, the 222 goes to "searching for satellite signal", then goes to "downloading guide" like a reboot or a loss of power. During the service call yesterday, at 4 PM, she had not...

Run the wire from the dish to the end of the line, instead of the 2nd floor. If the dish is mounted on the second floor, run it on the outside of the house to the 1st location, put your 222 there and feed the 2nd tv up the line. that should work.

When is the last time you guys did a upgrade for a customer? It is a simple swap out, swap out antenna, and replace receivers with new, 9 times out of 10, they are in the exact same location and i bet that this is what happened here. Boxes never got moved, tech was in and out in a hour, and he...
