    Echostar 9/G10r problem

g10r can be found, but its fairly tough....I did find the best way was to be able to see the tv, plus use the meter. I had a meter that let the signal pass through it, to the tv so you could use both. I screwed around for 2 weeks about an hour a night just using the meter....then I used both and...

    Galaxy10R - can't find it...

I'm not 100% sure this helps, but here is a similar thread: ku on an 18" dish I'd also recommend you start with trying to pick up test card channels on starchoice satellites (anikf1?I think) then working from there. From the thread I linked to, I'm not sure if G10R was ever found.

    Primestar vs. Invacom

What's going to give me the most bang for my buck...a 40x30 primestar dish with the primestar lnb, or an upgrade of my current .6db lnb with a invacom .3 lnb attached to my existing 30" dish? Currently on G10R I get an average of about 35 quality on the US Virgin Islands channels. That can be...

    Friday Fun Poll!!!

Heck, I figure I indirectly pay for FTA by having to watch ads. So if a channel drops or gets scrambled, in a way I think 'good riddence'. (To lose The Tube would be an exception to that thinking. ) On the other hand, there's nothing better than getting a new channel.

    New to FTA

Make sure you read Iceberg's review of this receiver: http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=29301 I also posted my experiences with that receiver: http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=85101 If I were you I'd see what I could do to get an oval 40"x30" primestar dish...

    StarChoice Freebie

Interestingly, I posted a similar reuqest yesterday about the idea of a microku setup much like the micobud thread. PSB gave me a response which pointed to some previous threads on the topic. I think they apply to your situation exactly. http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=89132

    microku such a thing exist?

I read a lot of the microbud posts, but I never saw any about the idea of a micro ku. Has anyone ever rigged up an invacom 0.3db lnb to an 18" pizza pan to see what they get? If such a thing were possible... (And if there already is a thread about this, please post the link so I can follow...

    Viacast Quantum MSR 1500

This advice may be a little late, but if you were using a universal LNB with this unit, your LNB LO Freq needs to be 10600000. I think I saw you post that you had used 10750000, which won't work (or at least it didn't for me). For me, the signal I hooked on to was 12114 sr 4444, which comes in...

G10R Reception in Rochester and Buffalo, NY area

I'm in London Ontario and mine fluctuates between 20 and 36. I've never checked in the morning...maybe its worse. If you are getting 32, that's probably as good as it gets. Definitely agree with Maddawg, that tp is too low. Its also a piss off considering 12114 is 96-99%.

Still searching for that first bird...

Here's the thing with the Viacast. You have to program it first before you will get a quality reading. You have a universal lnb, so for your LNB LO Freq, you would type 10600000 (don't forget the 0's). You also do need the +22K switch. So for horizontal, its 18+22K and vertical its 14+22K. If...

    Always funny

Maybe you should set up a forum link with the title "Hacker's Corner" or something like that...then when the moron clicked on the link it took them to a dishnet or directtv page about the penalties for hacking.... I guess you'd still get morons pm'ing you.."I tried your hacker's corner but...
