    Dvr question

IIRC, the dual tuner one, you'll have to run a cable from either upstairs to downstairs, or vice versa. Optionally, you might be able to get a wireless transmitter/receiver (like from x10) to do this wirelessly, if you can't fish the cables.

Loss of Even Numbered 119 Transponders

I just checked... I have a Superdish pointing at 110, 119, and 121 with two LNB's going to the 3-input,4-output DP34 (I guess that's what the '3' and the '4' in DP34 stands for). I didn't climb on my roof again, so can't tell if it's the plastic or the metal one. When I was up there the other...

    Even transponders going belly up

when they replaced the LNB, did they also replace cabling, or left cabling intact? I've called on the phone, and they basically said they'll charge me $ to send a guy out, unless it's their equipment. When asked for details, "their equipment" only includes receivers and LNBs, not cabling or...

Loss of Even Numbered 119 Transponders

I've been having the same problem these past few weeks on my two 522's. Called customer service multiple times. They always blame the cable, since it's not covered, while if it was the equipment, it would be covered. I finally got to the supervisor, who said "no one else is reporting this...

DishHD and Dish'n It Up Details

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought those who purchase still have to pay an 'additional outlet fee' of $4.99 (currently) So, the number changes for any extra receivers: Lease: $5 leasing fee, $5 DVR fee = $10/month for each receiver above the 1st Purchase: $4.99 additional outlet fee...

    MPEG-4, When?

I'm guessing you're right and it'll be a lease, probably because Dish gets all the money in a lease program, while I'm guessing they only see around 25% on retail boxes. Meaning, for a $400 (to the customer) sold receiver, they get $100, which amounts to 20 months of $5 rental. If they can get...

    721 Feature Reduction - C'mon DISH !

pretty funny typo, actually. he doesn't know what he doesn't know. :D Just found it strange that you seem to have emailed their sales and equipment branch instead of tech support.

    721 Feature Reduction - C'mon DISH !

No, I'm not. There's not much this thread is going to do to solve your problem because I doubt any of us here have access to the sourcecode, fix changes, and push them to your 721. In fact, I'd say that posting here has 0% chance of getting anything fixed at all, so all you end up with is just...

    Dish Network Website Wins Award

iirc, these 'web awards' are pretty much marketing gimicks created by the so called award company to get companies to pay them $$. IIRC, this is the same as the "Who's who" series of products where the 'recipient' always have to pay some amount of $$ to get x, (where x can be 'the publication...

wouldn't complaining to Dish directly be more useful? Call a CSR, they're paid to listen to your complaints.
