Today I was listing to the AVR's FM tuner as usual. I had detached all other HDMI sources. At approx. 1:23 PM the AVR switched itself to TV and I switched it back to FM. Then at about 1:26, it switched to Off (standby). So I guess that confirms that the change signals are coming from the TV...

There are no other active* external sources connected to the TV; it is connected only to the AVR via HDMI 3/ARC. I still have 2 other HDMI sources connected to the AVR (the disc players) but I doubt either is the culprit. I'll disconnect both prior to 1:20 PM today... (*I do have 2 cables...

I believe I have Bravia Sync turned on as 3 of my devices are Sony. If I turn that off, won't I then lose the "1 remote" option for shared functions like on/off, volume, etc.? Or is Bravia Sync redundant for the TV/AVR pairing since the same functionality is available through the ARC / HDMI 3...

Thanks for your reply! The Sony 4K TV would be the primary suspect since the AVR switches to the TV mode first, but all I can find in its substantial menus are separate "On" and "Off" timers, and both are set to "Off". If there's another timer in the TV, I haven't found it yet, but I will dig...
