I LOVE the quality of U-Verse here in Michigan! The HD is at least as good if not better than Dish (at least since I last had Dish which was about a year ago) and the SD is TONS better than Dish was. Not even a comparison. Add to that the 6 mg connection I'm getting for $25 and I'm a happy...

I , too, have the HDMI handshake issue. Upon turning on the receiver, it will tell me that it cannot connect via HDMI and then connect after a few flickers of the screen.

I don't know where you live, but the HD quality is BETTER than my Dish was in my area. (Detroit area) The SD programming looks 100% better as well. I have been VERY impressed by the U-Verse service and canceled my Dish today.

Boy...am I TICKED OFF!!! I had an install scheduled for this AM in Orion Township. EVERYONE I talked to at U-Verse with AT&T indicated that they have 2 HD streams now. The installer gets to my house and tells me that there is NO WAY he can install 2 HD streams to my house and he's been told...

I'm having U-Verse installed Monday, June 9. We have 2 HD feeds in the Detroit area...so I'm taking the plunge. I'll wait about a week to see if I'm going to keep it...but I'm probably going for it. It looks pretty good in my area right now!!!

The PS3 does not have IR whatsoever. The PS3's wireless capability is Bluetooth ONLY. Thus...the reason why you have to buy the PS3's remote. I have a Harmony 880 and just use the PS3 controller to control my movies. Still wireless...and I can spend that $20 on a movie, not a remote...
