    CBS-HD Is Gone!

    I am in the NYC area but still lost WCBS-HD on my 921 receiver. Two different CSR's both told me I lost it for "legal reasons". But, if I upgrade to a 622 and pay over $30 more a month for a higher HD package, I would be able to get CBS-HD. Does this make sense?

    This may or may not be relevant to your problem but have you tried using the picture positioning controls on the 6000? There were similar issues in the past with 720p channels converted to 1080i that were cured by changing the horizontal positioning.

    CBS will be in 8PSK, not 8VSB. The 8VSB module for the 5000 will not be of any use in your situation.

    My 921 displays the following information: "On 4/14 the channel will move to 9483. The signal will change. Your equipment may need an upgrade."

    Recording OTA with a timer??

    1. Set the offset times to zeros instead of the default 1 and 3. 2. Leave the 921 showing a live satellite channel instead of an OTA channel. 3. Do not have a satellite channel recording when the OTA timer activates.

    Scott- What are your signal strength numbers on odd and even transponders? Using a Canadian Star Choice dish, I get low to mid 50s on the odd transponders but only mid to high 30s on the even ones. Before I go crazy adjusting things I like to make sure they are equal on your system. Thanks.
