Broke down and called the manufacturer of our current hard drive, Western Digitial. Warranty expired 6 days ago, duh! Their recommendation was a replacement WD5000KS - supposed to match the original. I have 30 days to return - will let you know if this is a "match".

Not sure if I am posting in the correct forum. Have the Vip722 and it has died. Based upon what I am reading these units have a very high internal temp concern. We replaced the hard drive with a WD 1Tb - Still "no signal" showing on screen. Should have read this forum first - looks like not...
