    R15 Software Upgraded To 109A

I got the new 109a software yesterday morning and it is STILL recording shows I tell it first run only and Series Links that I have set to "keep until I delete" are still getting deleted and replaced with recent episodes. They really dropped the ball on this one!

    DirecTV MPEG4 Rollout to begin

First off, MPEG-4 is not active in your area yet. So you probably would be getting the 3LNB dish. The HR10-250 DVR is an MPEG-2 only receiver and yes it will record OTA. Also. There is no TNT-HD, Stars-HD, or Cinemax-HD. D* does not carry them yet. The PQ is downresed to 1280x1080 so it is...

    DVR´s and PVR´s Info

I think you are thinking of the D*Tivo's, the R-15 can not be hacked as of yet as it does not run linux as the Tivos do. The R-10 can not be hacked either. you would need an older D* TiVo to enable these features. And it is not THAT easy to enable them...

R-15 question, why is my show gone?

The r-15 has many bugs, this being one of them. even though you tell it to keep it will erase it when a new one gets recorded. Now this does not happen all the time but most of the time...

D* vs Comcast, a Really Difficult Decision Right Now

Not sure how many places this has happened yet but in Philly area, Comcrap now has ALL the analog channels digital simulcasted, haven't seen how it looks compared to the analog but hear it looks alot better. I guess D* can't say they are better than cable because they broadcast in digital...

DIRECTV rolls-out 4 more major DMAs with MPEG-4 LIL HD

From what I herd you will not lose your distant network feeds until everyone in your DMA get converted to the new MPEG4 (per FCC I think I read somewhere else). and even then they may leave it up for a while incase some problems come up.

    H20 installation

They wouldn't send anyone with out scheduling it. so worst case is you say you have no time and you will call them when you will be around to schedule it. And then never call. Or just wait a little while and call them back and say the installer was here and everything is fine. OR wait until your...

    H20 installation

Get it all setup and then give them a call and tell them you just moved and that you already have everything in place, and don't need an installer... Thats what I did! Very simple, but since it is the new HD dish they MAY insist on an installer comming out to check it; but I don't think they will.

    H20 installation

I don't think you can via D* but through a vendor (BB, CC, VE) yes
