Dish sub since 1998. Self-installed Dish 300 and Rcvr Model 5000 (so ancient that Dish doesn't even list it anymore !). In 2003, Dish called and offered to replace the 300 with a 500 at no cost. No other changes/upgrades to date. Am currently itching to "get current" (i.e.-upgrade to HD Platinum, ViP 622, ViP 211) before September.

Have been lurking on SatGuys for over a year to learn from the pros about all the changes that have taken place since 1998. Have learned a lot, but still have a ways to go.
