First off, most installs are free. Second how is trying to rip-off the installer related to doing the install correctly?

I cancelled after I had D* up and running. With possible install delays and what not, I didn't want to be without sat service. You have to call E* to cancel, and depending on your situation, you may or may not have to send parts back. If you do, they send you the boxes and the return labels

Having just switched to D* from E*, the installer mentioned that it would be a good idea to add this plan. I currently have two H-20 receivers with the 5lnb slim line dish. I looked at the plan, but still am not sure if its a good value or not. Any suggestions/opinions? Thanks

You are correct, my programming commitment expired 4 months ago, and I will continue to pay the same amount if I do nothing. It just that if I am going to switch, it's a good time of year to do it. I wanted to at least get the locals in HD before the Fall football season.

No, I wasn't really looking at counts, just the different content that was available like DIY, Science Channel, Military Channel and the 2 Discovery channels that are included in the D* pkg but only included in the TOP 250 from E*
