    The contract with D* that changed back in 2003 had Sci-Fi, TNN (Spike TV) and Trio (defunct) out of Select Choice. You may be able to go to Total Choice Select for $39.99, but if you do anything to take Select Choice away, you will lose that package FOREVER. I dont know if Sci-Fi is in TC...

    That date makes sense since it is a Tuesday and that is when D* usually launches new channels/services. I hope that D* also comes out with the SlimLine dish soon.

    New Humax TV

    You would own this TV/receiver. There is no option to lease this receiver. You can use the TV by itself if you ever disconnected D*. I hope they also come out with a LCD DVR receiver, That would be sweet, especially after the bugs are worked out on the R15.

    New Local Channels To be added

    STL Locals come off 101, Paducah-Cape comes off 119, so if you already have the 3LNB dish, you dont need any upgrade.:D BTW, what is your zip and does the letter say when they are going to start.

    I couldnt get the AT9 dish because the installers stated that the tripod would not support it. Does anyone know if the new AT9 SlimLine dish will be able to be put on a tripod?

    I did some research on www.directv.com/local and entered zip codes and here is what I found out: Birmingham has ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in HD Columbus has ABC, NBC and FOX, but not CBS Kansas City has none Minneapolis has ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX Nashville has none Pittsburgh has ABC, CBS...
