Just from my personal experience, I get the "bars" on HD channels when the broadcast is not in HD. Most of the time the commercials are not HD and up come the "bars".

The audio on HD channels is significantly lower than the same SD channels. Flipped receivers around TVs and it is the same for all HD receivers and TVs. Clarity is fine, just have to turn up the volume on HD vs SD. Is this normal or is my audio reception on HD off for some reason?

Your poll needs a choice for those of us who are really interested but don't sign up. I don't simply because of the cost, retired on fixed income and a 401K that is now a 101K. Would like to see a PPV choice on Sunday.

Installed the WB68 MS today. Works great, have three HD and four SD receivers all working 5 by 9! Many thanks to those members that responding to my post with info, help and solution.

Just a personal preference, but for initial setup or "move" setup I prefer to deal direct with Direct. After that it is what ever is cheapest.

Does anyone have any technical info on a Hitachi HDS100R receiver for Directv?

Thanks guys for the info. So the WB 6x8 will cascade from the built in MS to the receivers. Built in is a great concept for initial installation but a pain in the neck when you want to expand usage. Have a Happy New Year!! Danel_KSC

JIMBO Reply Thanks for the reply and info. I was afraid that the built in MS would have to go. Was hoping that a 4x8 MS could be installed downstream of the built in and would cascade. Oh well, thanks again for your efforts.

Been with Directv 6 years, now have Slim Line dish with Eagle 3LNB and built in 4X4 multiswitch. Have two HD receivers and two SD receivers hooked up. I have another SD receiver that I will get access card from Directv. Question--how can I hook up this fifth receiver all four leads already are...
