That is my question at this point. What are we going to be missing by not getting G1? Seems to me that two sats are better than just one, Shaw vs. Bell. Also Bell did not accommodate ppl that were south of the Canadian border. Oddly enough it is not illegal in the US to receive Canadian...
Not true. I have told CSRs in the past that I am using SD in the us. It is fine, they even have a home away from home program with Shaw Direct

Your point is well taken. I only have the 60cm dish so I knew that I didn't have a prayer of receiving anything. BTW the reason that I have the 60 is that that is what they sent to me in Toronto last year when I cancelled Bell and went with shaw. It has worked well until now, I suppose...
Nothing for G1 here. But I think my dish is off. Some channels are in the 80-90 range, like 148. MSNBC. @ 88 but others like 334 FX HD are at 50. I think that I need to go tweak the dish.
Does anyone have a list of which channels are on which satellite?

Thanks. I will, but I know that MiguelAqui is a bit north of me and has a 75cm dish. I have only a 65cm.
I will check nonetheless

I now have Shaw here in NC. I am curious as to how G1 will do. Hopefully better than Bell's 91. I dropped them last July Then they kept bugging me about not cancelling.

Shaw Direct in North Carolina.
I finished installing my new Shaw Direct system that I brought to North Carolina from Ontario this past weekend. A couple of points for those making the change from Bell.
They will now send you the new xKU LNB for Triple Satellite service. (There will be a...
Just curious, have the signals on 82W changed for you?
BTW, I received a letter from Bell that my 6100 HD box will not work after some date in. August 2012. They want to give me a new receiver. No thanks I've gone to Shaw Direct
Just got back to North Carolina last night and noticed that I have no TPs on Nimiq 4, 82W. It could be that there was heavy cloud cover (I don't think so), the dish has moved or something else is wrong. Has anyone else noticed a problem with 82W? Not really a big deal as I won't be using Bell...
When a company makes decisions that makes them lose paying customers, hence money, I don't see them spending any money. My Shaw system arrived yesterday, a day sooner than promised. It will be good to, as Romney puts it, "fire" bell.
