Ethernet to Hopper: Weaker Than WiFi !??

You can set static ips in your router if your router supports that feature. I installed and setup the router myself. I set an ip for each hopper and joey for their mac addresses. Once they try to connect to the network, they get the address you assigned to them. Some of my devices like my...

Ethernet to Hopper: Weaker Than WiFi !??

Nope, 1 ethernet, the rest moca and bridging enabled on the ethernet connected hopper only.

Ethernet to Hopper: Weaker Than WiFi !??

I don't know why Dish doesn't tell people to set static IPs for the hopper and joey. Better yet, make IP assignable in the hopper and joey itself, then the installer could do it. I just upgraded from a 622 and two 211ks to two hoppers and a joey. The hoppers were wreaking havoc on my network...

Thanks Scherrman, $10 extra from current. I'm due for an upgrade, can't believe the 622 is still working, it was one of the earliest made.

I currently have a monthly bill of $107, AT250...$75, 622 DVR $7 fee (2005 model still working) includes lease, 2 211k's own (w/dvr) at $7 each, Blockbuster at Home...$10, HD250 free for life, all out of contract. I've read a bunch of threads and searched but can't figure out what it would cost...

EX Hard Drive dying on 211k ?

Almost 2 yrs ago, the 211k's would reboot for no apparent reason, mine was always tuned to specific OTA channels, but that problem was fixed. Now it will reboot while recording, sat or ota, creating 4 or 5 files for a one hr show, not every show, but the frequency seems to be accelerating...

I'm making the move from a VIP 211 to a DVR

Now that I'm on the EA, I can't get over how much junk I can stuff into a 750 Gb WD. At first I was just putting movies on it, now I record shows to watch later. MP4 has turned it into a bottomless pit. I bought my wife 211k and a 1TB for the bedroom and she'll never fill that up.

It's 5:50 pm in Louisville, KY and Dish is down

Now that we're on the eastern arc, I seem to lose the 72 sat more than the other 2. Storms are another issue as it doesn't seem to stop raining for more than 18 hrs or so for the last month.

    Which WD EHD is better?

I've been using a factory reurbed 750 GB Essentials on a 211k for over a year now without any issues. Got it off Ebay. WDU is the start to refurb model #s.

What is the point of dual tuner boxes now?

Claude, I have a leased 622 as my main receiver......should I be charged a lease fee ? My bill went up $17. I have (2) 211ks with EHD (one time fee of 39.99, paid once). Top 250, Platinum HD, HBO and Showtime, Locals. My bill gets paid on the 15th. On the 14th, my programming is going to...
