Take it for what it's worth, but D* told me they did their first round and their 2nd round is going to be Oct 4th. Then she back tracked and said maybe the rollout what happening up to Oct 4th. So who the heck knows. I am probably more confused now than I was before. :eek:

Yes that is happening with the HDMI cable. A lot of people are using components to get around the prob. I heard on DBStalk that it will be in the first update to fix this issue. They are all talking about it over there.

I was watching it last night on OTA and it was pretty bad at times. I just think that all of the stations really need to get there HD pic better. The only channel I really loved was CBS when march Madness was going on. It was pretty good I thought.

So is this going to have the Tivo software in it, or just the DVR software?? I have been so confused now that D* resigned Tivo for 3 yrs if they are not using them.

Also just so you know probably what is happening is that the installer is trying to peak it for the ku band and not the ka. I believe the ka band is not as wide as the ku. But it could be the other way around, I can;t remember. In either case though, if the installer does go for the wider 101...

It is funny I just had that same problem with pixelation and bad rain fade. I then had the installer come back out, I got a different one this time, and he said the first installer did a very sloppy job. He remounted the dish, put 3 stabilizing arms and I am now in the high 80's low 90's with...

The guy was telling me that most installers that come out for movers or relocation do a bad job. His words not mine. He said make sure with the AT-9 no matter where you are to put the 2 stablizing arms and if they can put 3. Also make sure they are secure on a 2x4 and not just on the end of...

Update Ok the installer just left. Let me tell you that I live in the Chicago area and APEX was the installer. This is the 2nd time that I have worked with them and let me tell you they are excellent. Their attention to detail and just putting everything the way it should be is great...

Does anyone else have the stability arms on their AT-9?? Does it really help?? Or should I jsut have them peak the Ka band and then leave it the way it is?? I am having them bring out the legs though.

Yeah I am getting rain fade and pixelation. I just want to make sure the job is done right, and I am going to have them put on the two legs also, maybe this will keep it from blowing around. Now my other question is, can the wind knock it out of alignment??

Sorry about that. But for all of the transponders that I have listed. 110 and 119 are HD only and 101 is for all SD except the premiums such as HBO, Starz, etc.

You know it is funny, but the CSR said that those are the only transponders that are used. I actually heard that before also, is that true??
