Care to translate that to AV tech for dummies speak for me? I googled subcarrier and still don't completely understand it. Is it something that is originating with the signal coming into the house or is it something that can be fixed with a change of cable type? Thanks for the input.

I will check this afternoon during the baseball games if it comes through on the TV speakers. I have a DVR so it will be easy to check.

I hear it on NFL and MLB playoff games (I have a 5.1 surround sound system). It doesn't happen during commercials and it seems to be when there is a lot of background noise like when the crowd is cheering. My wife can't hear it but it's driving me nuts. I changed the surround sound setting...
