I actually did this on the Dish Network side. Got Apple TV but realized it wasn't anywhere near what I was looking for, at least not yet. Once it becomes more of a priority for Apple and less of a hobby (their words not mine) I'll consider it. For right now I'm close to giving up on sports...

I did the HBO/Starz deal, I may do the Max paperless billing deal next, and probably add Showtime since HBO/Starz will be free for 3 months also.

I was hoping to get my RSNs in HD by this time, but the Rockies are stinking it up this year, and the Avalanche will be well into the season by the time February rolls around, so I can wait. I find most of the games aren't in HD to begin with, hopefully that changes with this upcoming season.

I think Bay will be a better player overall, Manny's defense stinks on ice, and he became too much of a distraction in the club house. Even the players wanted him out of there.

Now that regular Encore is in HD, I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the Encore suite, Westerns, Sci-Fi, etc....I miss the Westerns channel since moving to all HD.

Ordered. Was able to do it online, took all of 30 seconds. I now have what could be called a 'crapload' of HD. Question though (kind of a dumb one), does the 24-Month commitment mean you can't upgrade or downgrade? Or does that just mean you can't cancel for 24 months?

I'll likely wait until the 'ala-carte' stuff becomes available so I don't have to hear Howard Stern or O&A.
