Not without a law being passed by congress to give some sort of anti-trust exemption. The pro leagues already have one from the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961.

Seeing how it's being played at Miami, I'm not surprised the prices are that high. Lot's of people with money in Miami will want to see the home team play.

That would violate anti-trust, which is why the NCAA has consistently lost every law suit filed against it.

Yes, especially since Congress failed to pass any legislation to support the NCAA House settlement. Lawsuits challenging it have already been filed.

Even with a union those rules are illegal. The Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 gives them the ability to have those rules. The NCAA and colleges do not fall under that act, and so therefore don't have the ability to restrain trade the same way even if the players were considered employees.

Even with a union it would be a violation of anti-trust law, as the schools are all separate entities from the NCAA. The NCAA lost oversite of the schools back in 19840 when Oklahoma and Georgia successfully sued them for restricting television coverage. Anti-trust prevents an industry wide...

Probably not as Miami had been expected to do good because of Timmmy transferring from Georgia. Same with Ole Piss as they barely missed the playoffs last year and only have the single loss at Georgia. Neither one taking the title moves the needle.

How so? Ole Piss has been ranked all season, especially after beating then #4 LSU. Their only loss was a close one on the road at Georgia. Hardly a "sleeper".

And that is each and every one of their own faults for not properly preparing. Something Indiana had no problem doing for when they dispatched Alabama. Miami had a much longer layoff than A&M and still won. As for Georgia losing to Ole Piss, their earlier game in Athens was very close as was...
