Ok, got it but I get to the on demand 1000 channel and I can't d/l any content. It tells me "would you like to add this premium channel for Food Network, heck I have Premiere package w/ HD, why won't it work? Is there only some content at certain times, all I could see under the "all" tab was...

I forced the update, it installed fine. I see the On Demand under the menu, I hit select and nothing, nothing happens at all. Whats going on, I see On Demand in the menu. Do I have to go to some specific channel to get content. Am I ineligible, please whats going on

I want FSN Bay Area, Where is it, a bunch of other FSN's are available like FSN So-Cal (nationally). Also want Comedy Central HD would be nice, but I have heard nothing of its existence. More premium channels would be nice, and I hear each music channel (vh1, mtv, cmt) is getting an hd channel...

If it's the new series 3 HD Tivo, it is incompatible with all satellite setups. Only series 2 is compatible. I would recommend Craigs List or eBay for a Directv HD Tivo unit (HR10-250). If you want to get the new hd channels (which I recommend) get the Directv HD DVR (HR-20) or soon to be HR-21.

D-Tv's website was updated to that pic from previous posts indicating 21 new hd channels are up. It shows CBS, ABC HD which were already in HD, is it mp-4 now? or is it available only in certain regions still. (I get the ch 87 version of ABC HD national feed). I'm on my cpu so I'm not really...

Why don't you just buy an OTA antenna? I live in upper Nor-California (hour north of Sacramento) and I get ABC's LA national feed which I don't mind that news unbelievably better than here (it is only in SD and it's the "C" team at best of news broadcasting.) I bring my receiver down to the East...
