    5 LNB antenna

Why does this bad idea keep coming up? The 1 5/8" mast is not suitable for holding the new 5 lnb dishes unless you beef up everything around it, so why not do it right? Rick

    Aiming Assitance....

The mast only needs to be plumb for initially finding the sats and has no bearing on the final signal because you peak the tilt using 119. How can you have a bad tilt setting unless you don't peak the tilt on 119? Rick the

    Aiming Assitance....

Since you mentioned "fine tune on 103(b)" and "I've been fine tuning Directv Sidecar,Slimline dishes for 103(b)" and "With the tighter beam of the Ka band sat you would be hard pressed to find a better alignment tool for Directv", I thought you were informing people to use the 103 Ka slot to...

    Aiming Assitance....

Apparently you missed the training on why you don't peak on 99 or 103. You can peak your own dish any way you please but if your charging others for your service please do it right. Rick

    Aiming Assitance....

The Slimline is supposed to be professionally installed only but if you follow the instructions that came with the dish it will work fine. Peaking on 103 or 99 is bad advice and will not give you "perfect alignment". Rick

    What Satilite Dish is better?

Aw Dodge, there ya go again. The dither screw thing IS necessary and the alignment instructions are basically identical for the AT9 and AU9. They both need to de-tune and match levels identically either side of the apparent peak to find the most precise peak in the center. You can’t make it...

    Fine adjusting Slimline Azimuth

It’s just like adjusting the elevation on the AT9. Do a coarse peak then detune by the specific amount of turns, note the level and find the exact same level on the other side while counting the amount of turns to get there. Divide the amount of turns in half and back up by that much. It has the...

    New Slim line at-9

Oh, like a Superdish 500 is any smaller or multiple dishes for E* is better way to go... Rick

Did I get the azimuth, etc. right for the AT9???

How do you know if it’s not needed unless you do it? If your not adjusting the skew as part of the AT9 install then your not doing your job. Rick

    At9 with a second dish

Just make sure you don’t connect any other type LNB to the side connectors on the main AT9 LNB. The voltages are not compatible and you can damage the main AT9 LNB. Rick

    Slimline Dish

D* is still pushing the need for extreme accuracy in aligning the Ka/Ku dish and the problem will be future Ka satellites parked next door to 99 and 103. No one can see that there is or is not a problem until the neighbors light up in the sky. All the suckers and cheaters who didn’t peak the...

    Slimline Dish

AT9 is a WNC only part # and other companies that make Ka/Ku 5 LNB dishes have their own model designation. Otherwise nice compilation of “Ka/Ku generations”. I saw some info on the new mount and it looks like it has the same turn counting adjustment for both azimuth and elevation now. No side...
