    Size of 1000.3 dish?

It definitely looks like a new antenna. In the 1st picture posted by the op, you can see the bolts used to mount the boom arm to the az/el assembly (like a 1K4)...in the picture on the roof, there's no fine adjustment bolt on the az/el assembly (unlike a 1K4). I guess it's a hybrid antenna to go...

What channels are on each satellite?

I see it's definitely a pole stuffed inside a larger pole - antenna probably has significant side to side movement in wind. Just a note - the Hopper 3 is a 4K receiver. While DISH only has a couple of 4K channels, Netflix has a growing selection of 4K movies, if you watch that. The hdmi cable...

What channels are on each satellite?

It also looks like the "lazy" installer jammed a DISH pole down inside an existing larger Directv pole. Not only should the antenna be changed out to a 1K2, it should be installed on an appropriate pole. Sent from my SM-G920V using the SatelliteGuys app!

    Pointing my dish satellite

If you have a 211 or Wally...get yourself a Tailgater. If you have any other type of DISH receiver, you'll need to become proficient in pointing your antenna Sent from my SM-G920V using the SatelliteGuys app!

I want to Switch to Dish from Direct

For 4k you'll need a Hopper 3 and 4k Joey at your 4k tv's to get 4k (along with 4k hdmi cables). But, unfortunately, there's very little in the way of 4k programming.

I want to Switch to Dish from Direct

We are planning to buy a 4k TV in January and I would have to upgrade my equipment. For 4k you'll need a Hopper 3 and 4k Joey at your 4k tv's to get 4k (along with 4k hdmi cables). But, unfortunately, there's very little in the way of 4k programming.

    Maximum RG6 Run

Ethernet can cause problems. It's not a supported installation. I've had tc's before where Joeys would just no longer work and had to be switched to wired or wireless.

I want to Switch to Dish from Direct

Long time Dish installer here. More often than not, when switching to us, former Directv customers will comment on how much better the Dish HD picture quality is.

Anyone here disassembled the Hopper 40.0 remote?

A nifty DISH remote skin in your choice of yellow, green, red, pink, or blue will protect and cover up those pry marks

    Question about the VIP211k

DPH lnbf's are not designed for anything but Hoppers. It will initially work, for a time, but than fail. You should use a DPP lnbf instead

Hopper 3 On Demand not working, but Joey's Work

Does the On Demand work on other channels other than EPIX, Showtime, and FXM? Are you connected to your network wireless or wired? Sent from my SM-G920V using the SatelliteGuys app!

    Wally to PC via wi-fi

Use wireless av (Terk, for example). Would have to be a tv, though, or monitor, with av inputs Sent from my SM-G920V using the SatelliteGuys app!

    replace joey with superjoey

Hybrid lnbf's will support a Super Joey - two lines from dish to duo hub, no integrator. Sent from my SM-G920V using the SatelliteGuys app!

1 HWS + 1 Super Joey wiring diagram

Nothing will change if tech uses a hybrid lnb, hybrid hub. If he uses a regular lnbf, and a solo node, he'll run a 3rd line from your dish to an integrator. Sent from my SM-G920V using the SatelliteGuys app!
