Superfan - Game Mix, Red Zone

With an HR10-250, you can watch the Game Mix channels, but you can't change the audio from game to game. You're stuck with whatever the default is. The Red Zone channel works fine, since it switches by itself.

force tivo to record only programs on HD channels?

If you go to "Pick Programs To Record", Then "To Do List", then choose "Recording History", you can see why a program on a auto-record Wishlist was not recorded. For a wishlist, you should be able to add a filter for Audio&Video/HDTV. I would also check your settings on the recording options...

Conexant, Humax, DirecTV Gather ‘Round the LCD

I've been in bars in Chicago where they had a small flat screen TV on the wall in each booth. It definitely could have been in the 20" range. So there theorectically could be a use for this size TV in a sports bar atmosphere.

Viewers Mad for DirecTV NCAA Interactivity

My problem is that you could only watch one game at a time. I had four TVs set up in front of my couch, took both days off work, and invited friends over. I could always watch the best game, and could easily switch to a different game during commercials. Plus, MMOD wouldn't work on my...

MPEG4 HD DVR and Home Media Center news:

Thanks for the response, LonghornXP. I wonder how a 4Q 06 release date affects the possibility of NFL Sunday Ticket in MPEG4. I can't see myself subscribing to NFL ST (especially SuperFan) without a HD-DVR.

MPEG4 HD DVR and Home Media Center news:

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but it seemed the most on-topic. LonghornXP, Robert of Value Electronics recently posted that the MPEG4 HD DVR release date has been pushed back to November 06. Can you confirm that date? Thanks. http://www.satelliteguys.us/showpost.php?p=502202&postcount=19

Need help getting HD local channels

Ok, things look good for you on antennaweb. All the major stations seem to broadcast from close to the same area, about 10 miles north of you. First you need a HD receiver / tuner. Radio shack is selling on clearance for about $90 that does a pretty good job. Accurian HTS 6000 It...

I now have an OTA - Now what?

If you go back to antennaweb, you'll see the frequency assignment is the far right column. This is the "channel" that they are broadcasting on. All of your channels are in the UHF range. Digital transmissions work a little better in this range, but they keep their old channel label (ie 6, 8 ...

I now have an OTA - Now what?

You should be fine with a Zenith Silver Sensor. It is generally accepted as the best indoor antenna. http://www.zenith.com/sub_prod/product_Display.asp?cat=49&id=131 However, you are close enough to the towers that I would just plug in a regular old set of rabbit ears if you got them...

DirecTV to offer free HD receiver upgrade

I haven't seen one or even a picture of one online. There were some guesses that there could be a super-LNB that would get the signals from 99, 101 and 103 since they are close together. Whether you would call that a 3 or 5 LNB dish would be debatable. Remember, only believe half of what...

DirecTV to offer free HD receiver upgrade

HD Locals will be on the two new Spaceway satellites at 99 and 103. This will require a new dish, rumored to be 5 LNB.

    MPEG4 and PQ

IIRC, the next NFL broadcast contract, which starts next season, requires all games to be broadcast in HD. The new set of contracts also shifts Monday Night Football to ESPN and Sunday Night Football to NBC.

H/D Sunday tck channel sked on D*

CBS typically shows AFC teams and they only have 3 HD production teams, so can only show 3 HD games a week. Your local affiliate may upconvert the feed so it will appear to be HD (16:9 format, DD5.1 flag), but they may just show whatever they get from CBS.
