    Hopper Upgrades

Sorry for the double post. I put this in the Joey thread and perhaps it belongs here. I'd appreciate being contacted to upgrade from a 722K to a HSW and a Super Joey, and from dual Dish 500s to a 1000.2 WA. Simple install - all necessary cables are in place to receiver locations. Currently out...

    722K OTA Signal Strength Differences

I've noticed on my 722K there is usually a small difference (2 - 3 points) between the two OTA tuners on the same channel (bring up PIP and tune to the same OTA channel in each window, then SWAP to get signal strength) perhaps due to the splitting of the OTA signal inside the tuner module. I've...

New HD TV & Dish Network HD Upgrade

One other thought - are you using the TV or the Dish receiver to stretch the SD channels so they fill your whole screen? If you are, that adds (at 73") quite a bit of additional softness to your already soft picture. If you are stretching, try setting your TV to STANDARD and your Dish receiver...

New HD TV & Dish Network HD Upgrade

Is "blurry and distorted" a relative measure compared to the HD, or is it really blurry and distorted in an absolute way? SD will typically look softer than HD, especially on a large display. I have a 73" Mits DLP like you do, and use a Vip722 receiver. The SD doesn't look as good as HD, but...
