    Bankers Predicting Sale of DTV

Thank you, for sharing this, CSM! I think this is just a matter of time. Who owns what we know as “DirecTV” almost doesn’t matter because of the trajectory the industry is on—moving away from traditional, linear television to the On Demand-like format of streaming. I just read two pieces, and...

    The end of Directv

Who does? (I mean that rhetorically.)

Thanks! I have chosen to not return as a subscriber. This is, of course, interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Just Canceled

Give thought to those who do not call; keep the service; and pay regular price. That is reason enough for SiriusXM to continue operating as it does. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Early Termination Fee

This is what needs to be followed, Talking to just any representative will not solve a problem like this. A customer needs to get tougher on this issue.

DogTV...Free Preview or Now Included in Package?

DOG TV was moved to ch. 562 a few months ago. (Not sure exactly when.) “Messages” tab, on the menu screen, says DOG TV is available as a free preview from August 23–29, 2019. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    CBS Rumor

Affected CBS stations, as well as national cable programmers CBS Sports Network and Smithsonian Channel, are back. I am glad for this. Thank you, Scott!

    Just Canceled

I canceled today [August 1, 2019]. Reason has to do with content. I was asked why I am canceling. I used the words personal reasons. I received an offer to stay. But, I actually wanted to go.

DIRECTV likely to keep NFL Sunday Ticket

From the report: “AT&T may not want to pay $1.5 billion per year for Sunday Ticket, but it also surely doesn’t want to endure the mass exodus of DirecTV customers if/when DirecTV no longer is part of the package.” NFL Sunday Ticket is No. 1 reason people have subscribed to DirecTV. So, AT&T...

TBSHD TNTHD MTVHD West now live

For the time being, the west-coast feeds of Comedy Central and BET are on channels 901 and 902. (Perhaps there was an engineering problem. I don’t think AT&T intended to isolate them. So, I am guessing they will become mapped to channels 249–1 and 329–1.)

TBS HD West and TNT HD West in testing

If AT&T’s DirecTV has “tons of HD capacity,” I want tons more national HD programmers added to the lineup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

AT&T Wants low ARPU customers gone

Interesting article. Part of this depends on, “Who needs who more?” I think we are in a period in which the providers are more in need of customers. (The article does not say but it does suggest the following: Telling a provider one may cancel a television subscription is not going to work as...

The Future of DirecTV, DirecTV Now, Uverse TV & HBO

I think U–verse will eventually die out to be replaced by DirecTV. AT&T has a problem with distribution of sufficient speed levels everywhere it has a footprint for Internet. Some areas have become quite good. Others are lacking by comparison to other providers. During the 2020s, it will need to...
