Well, you may not need one as I couldn't tune to 498 and the other test channels (490 and 491) were failing. Plus I did not have a signal on 103b (view signal strength). If you are getting signals from 103b, you should be okay.

That is correct, the Zinwell 6x8 Multiswitch is what you are going to need. I had an old multiswitch on my 5 LNB dish and no Ka Band was signal. I replaced it w/ the Zinwell and now I have channel 498, 490 and 491.

I was wondering if it was my multiswitch resulting in my issues, that are very similar to Boston Homer. I guess I'll take the switch out of line and see what happens.

Nothing here for me. I'm sure it's an alignment issues as I have not seen a good signal on 113b on my 2 H20s and 1 HR20. Installer is supposed to come out on Monday and replace my "legacy" 5 lnb dish w/ a slimline, I guess it will be corrected then. W/ my luck some new HD channels will roll...

I just check my account (recent activities) on D* website and noticed a charge and credit for HD Access on 9/18 for $3.33. Anyone else have this? I'm assuming this was part of the glitch.

I've noticed that they changed My VOD to My Playlist with this upgrade. Haven't noticed anything else. Will need to check the 30 second skip for quicker response.

After this upgrade, my local recordings have gotten horrible. I can't FF/RR on a consistent basis. A teal screen pops up, but audio remains (clears after a second or two). Pixelization occurs during playback w/ an horrible audio feedback. I haven't noticed this w/ mpeg 2 HD recordings...

I would have hoped this wral/wraz issue would have been cleared up prior to the MLB playoffs. I was stuck watching the game in SD. :mad:

Some have gotten an upgrade to the HR20 via customer retention for free. I paid 99 bucks for the upgrade. As long as local HD is available in your area, you should qualify for the upgrade.

Great, now I do need the OTA interface to function on the HR20. I'm curious to see if that happens on 10/1 as stated in another topic.

Any Update So this is still an issue? I scheduled for my mpeg 4 update on Friday and I was unaware of this situation. I feel this is very misleading by DTV.

Well it's only a matter to time before the software upgrade will enable the ota interface. Most of my recording is via national broadcast on my local networks from the big 4. I will not miss not having the other stations. Hmm, I should have tried the free route. I'm going to call them back...

Well, I received my hr20-700 from Best Buy today in NC. I called DTV and learned that they will swap out hr10-250s for 99 bucks. Needless to say, I'm sending my best buy one back. The Sat/ANT option is currently not functioning and is suppose to be available in a software update. My...
