are you sure you can't relocate the dish to a spot where the garage wouldn't be in the way? This way you might be able to avoid the 10' pole.

Yep, the technology is fairly different, depending on your setup. E* is at the same spot D* was 3 years ago. Not sure why they they do the things they do, but it keeps us in business.
