bill,my tv changes 480i to 720i automaticly.i have a progresive scan dvd,if i put in a non anomorpic dvd on progressive,it shows letterbox 480i.i show a anomorphic dvd on progressive it upconverts to 480p-widescreen. i could be wrong,but thats the way i read the manual. ed

oddwunn,i have a 4x3 sony kp53hs10.in the digital input #5 it is hd,and performs a 3/2 pulldown on all 480p and 1080i signals.in other words the box thinks tv is widescreen and tv thinks it is widescreen.you have to set the tv and box acordingly. ed
