Do I have to take a refurbished tuner?

Just a note for people. If you sign up for the DHA go with regular DHA. Stay away from SBC. We just started dealing with Sprint so I'm not sure about their track record as of yet. Also note: Not all locations will be utlizing these companies. Denver will be using Qwest(?). If you...

need help with a 322 remote

I going to assume that the remote antenna is attached to the receiver. You wouldn't believe how many people disconnect it to make the receiver fit in the home theatre cabinet. Move the antenna. Straight up or sideways (both directions). Attach the antenna to the attenuator then to the...

Do I have to take a refurbished tuner?

For the most part yes. If they can't replicate the bug they might consider it a problem with the line. I have run into this issue. Hot drops are a good way to test it. Since both your 322 and 522 require that you have 2 line running to it you could actually swap them out to see if the...

i've been discouraged away from hd satellite.......

It's an issue of putting the cart before the horse really. All companies do it really. I can remember the problems I had with Time Warner when they started digital cable and Roadrunner. The trick is to wait about 6 months after any major product update (or in Dish's case get the DHP). The...

??? That's what they told us in the Wednesday meeting not too long ago. The internationals would be moving over to 105. Not all at once mind you. First will be Arabic channels. No date specified.

Aggrevatingly ellusive answer to a simple question

He'll need another dual damn. Read the rest of the post and you'll pick up on that. from his post-- Keeping my options open to use the dish with FTA or DirectTv in the future. If you get a chance read the box. Also you'll find it list in training materials list as: dish reflector...

    Bye, Bye Dish

I've sight the dish with an inclinometer. We don't have all the specs for all competitors inluding the exact sats they're pointing at. Just saw one at a Sears while doing a trouble call.

    Dish setup problems

A front panel reset will cause the receiver to perform various check but will maintain user settings. It differs from factory reset but not by much.

    Dish setup problems

There is an option in the menu for this. A front panel reset is somewhat different.

    switch configuration q'?

I'm not sure about the DirectTV dish you are talking about. The answer is yes and no. Programming switches between 119 and 110. DirectTV leases programming off 119 but doesn't point to 110 and their dishes don't skew. You can get programming off 119 but not 110.

    Dish setup problems

It's called "clearing the matrix". Go from the LNBfs to the receivers (sounds like you're not planning to ground the dish/system). Unhook the line-ins from the back of the receivers. Clear the matrix. You can also try a front panels reset. Hol the power button until the units power off...

EchoStar seeks to phase out need for 2nd dish

Last time I checked there were 6 sats. Why would we sub with VOOM or DirectTV? DirectTv subs from US! The sat the point at, 119, is own by Echostar, the parent company of Dish Network. And I believe Voom points at our freaking international satellite 61.5. International is also on 61.5...

    Bye, Bye Dish

Who sold you the dish? DNSC or a retailer? How did you sign up for a package? Dish, retailer, contractor/sub-contractor? You don't need 120 + HBO. Go for 60. Really though it's only a $10 difference between 60 and 120 anyway. You got a bad receiver. I've run into this in area where...

Aggrevatingly ellusive answer to a simple question

You can use two singles or duals or a combination of the two (you'll need a Y-bracket of course). Tie them together with either a SW21 or a DP21 (you will need to use a DP21 if the LNBfs are Dish Pro). The older Dish300 dishes are round. The newer ones are oval. Oval dishes will allow...
