    I agree with the previous poster, most of the time this is a cabling/connector problem, but do you have another receiver you could try? The even /odd selection is the done by switching the voltage from 13 to 18 volts to the LNB ( done by the receiver). Do you you have a meter of some sort...

    Notably quite in all of this is the NHL. At least from anything I can find in terms of a public statement. The NHL has had so much bad press over not getting back on ESPN that this is the last thing they needed.
