I'm working on this on another thread. It looks like you have to go to your DVR recordings, change your source to the external drive, then go to options and manage the recordings. THEN, you'll see a menu pop up that has the option to transfer to the hopper, but you need to select a recording...

I transferred my recordings from my H2 to a USB external HD. I got my new Hopper 3 installed, and it's able to see and playback all these recordings. However, it does not appear that you can transfer these recordings *back* to the Hopper 3. Does anyone have any insight into this? Future...
