DishPOinter is AWESOME! I wish I would have known about it earlier today. I had the same dilema but I used the Dish 500 settings to get 110 on a 211 reciever with a DP Plus dish. I will use this site to further tweak my settings. Thanks

Like DarrellP mentioned, there was some concern that the STB's needed a monthly time stamping signal from the satellite in order to keep the OTA's functioning. Apparently it can be avoided by unplugging it a couple of days. Where would the time/date show up? I checked the "Voom" menu and...

The last thing I heard was that the STB's might go dark for OTA's today. I still have them. Hope it is not temporary.

There was a strong lightning storm coming through my area so I unplugged my STB to prevent any potential damage. After plugging it back in a few hours later I no longer get any OTA's. I checked the signal for the different RF's and it seems to be receiving the signals fine, but nothing comes...

Yeah. I think it was a total of $72 plus tax(es) for two stb's plus the $5 HD package. It seems high especially since we got Voom at such a bargain. I think Comcast was trying to acquire Adelphia, but from what I read we shouldn't expect much either way.

HD providers in the Kendall Area I called last night about Adelphia's "HD Tier". Needless to say, it sucked! It really only has a few channels, only includes 3 local Digital TV stations, the majority are only available at a premium. This is horrible. BTW - my neighbor has Adelphia...

Buying STB's from VOOM? I wouldn't mind buying my STB's at a discounted price (50 bucks or so) if I could still use them for OTA's. None of my HDTV's have built-in tuners. If I understand correctly, they should work after the shutdown since they were already activated by VOOM. Right?

It is better to have Voomed and lost than never to have Voomed at all. Let's enjoy it while we have it!
